I would be so down for this, and the DS games are some of the best in the series so those are essential imo. They'd have to do some work to get rid of the dumb sealing stuff in DoS though I suppose.

Funny enough, I've never played any of Castlevania 1-3 so it'd be cool to see those. Also Rondo of Blood, Circle of the Moon, and whatever others I've missed out on.

^ This was the closest they did to a Castlevania collection of sorts.

Kinda surprising Konami never did get around to doing a true Castlevania collection long ago and it seems very doubtful if they'll ever do one given the current state of the company.

Ideally they'd make it 2 separate collections. A Classicvania Collection and then a Metroidvania collection that way for the fans of one style over another they can just get that one.

What games should go on the first collection? Digital Eclipse's collections have mostly had 6 games, except for the Street Fighter one which technically had 12 but they were mostly variations on 4 core games. I think the Classicvania collection should probably be the 3 NES games, Super Castlevania IV, Rondo of Blood, and Bloodlines. They could maybe do a second Classicvania one with some of the games that are not as "core", like Vampire Killer, Haunted Castle, the B&W Game Boy games, Chronicles, the Kid Dracula games, Adventure ReBirth, Order of Shadows, Dracula X, and Dracula X Chronicles. Heck, that might even be enough for TWO more collections.

There are lots and lots of compilations I'd pay to see. Square Enix have a massive backlog of 16-bit titles from when they were separate companies, they could sell multiple collections and I'd buy them all.

Quintet Collection
SaGa Collection (GB and SNES titles)
Squaresoft RPG Collection (Live-A-Live, Treasure of the Rudras, Bahamut Lagoon, Front Mission, and then throw Chrono Trigger on here to make sure everyone buys it)

then they could do like 4-5 collections from Taito's catalog alone

They definitely own the Actraiser games. They released a mobile version in Japan, and on Wii Virtual Console it belonged to Square-Enix.

Not as sure on the others but they probably do own those as well
