I've seen vastly different opinions about the movie. Mostly all I remember about it is it the dad saying "nonja," the really annoying kid brother, and the plot twist with Racer X.

Visuals are outstanding, film itself is a ton of fun all the way through. The final race will fucking ALWAYS make me cry, it really drives home how perfectly executed the whole movie is. I love it dearly but it basically feels built for my admittedly more eccentric tastes.

Based on what I remember about it from seeing it almost a decade ago, it's okay. Visually it's very cool, but it's far too long and some of the moments where they were trying to build drama or be 'edgy' for a family film were really forced.

I've only seen it once, and that was quite a long time ago. I do remember liking it, but who knows if that stands true anymore. I barely remember anything about it.
