On top of all the other annoyances -- including the fact that it brings you directly to a topic instead of pulling up a list which makes it easier to go in/out of topics to find something you were specifically looking for -- apparently it allows to see topics posted by users on your ignore list.

Exactly this. If I'm searching for something I usually have to open a bunch of similar topics to find the information I'm looking for. This new system makes that difficult.

I don't understand these kinds of changes and how slowly they're released. it doesn't take months of effort to implement a search bar, it takes like a few hours to implement, and a couple days to perfect.

...literally defeats the point of an ignore list if you see the topics you're trying to ignore.

That doesn't matter. It takes 2-3 more clicks than it use to now. Everybody seems to fucking forget ease of use when redesigning websites now.

Also, it looks like they changed something in the guides, too. Like adding a weird search bar at the top of them...

Most people voting no are doing so because they don't like the size, placement, or other factors relating to the search feature, and they don't give a fuck about TC's complaint, like so:

But because there's just a "no" option, it's distorted to look like we actually give a damn about the indignity of seeing topics created by people on Zeus's ignore list.

Maybe to you. It's not like you have tp agree with him because you also don't like it. Most people know that they dislike it for other reasons. So, it's not like it really looks like we're complaining for the same reason since most people probably don't like it for other reasons. And since some other people have also stated why they don't like it. If the option was "No for the reasons I stated", then it would look like we didn't like it for the same reasons. But the option just says no. Which can be for the same reasons, or different ones... I don't see why the option "No, for reasons other then what TC stated" is needed...

It really isn't.

"Do you like the changes to the search feature?" (Yes/No/Maybe) is a very general question. Nothing in the poll itself relates to Zeus' personal reasons at all, and half the people in this topic (if not more) probably voted in the poll without reading a single word in the rest of the post.

And even if you discount that, Zeus himself pretty explicitly says that there are multiple reasons to dislike the search bar, and just tosses out the ignore list thing as an extra. He doesn't even say it's his own primary reason for hating it, as much as he implies it's a new reason he's just recently noticed.

So you're basically making a major issue out of a problem that doesn't actually exist, except to you (which, ironically, is basically what you're complaining about him doing).

I tested it by ignoring Zeus for a minute. I couldn't find the topic in the search results. So maybe they fixed it.

Scrolling down to "see all topic results" and the fact that it's big are my only gripes. Still I'll get used to it.
