I've been watching these lego pros on youtube. It is amazing what they have been able to create. They are able to build these things 100% from legos and nothing else. Here are some examples from conventions:

I know folk that collect the special edition sets. They increase in value so quickly that they can sell them again within a year or two for like 300% markups.

I got Lego Worlds for my son, and it's basically the Lego game I always wanted as a kid. You can literally build brick by brick, to the point where you can start disassembling the ground under your feet. Shit is crazy. And it manages to not be nearly as blocky as Minecraft

It's true that some of the ones that came out in the early 2010s are already going for several times the price if you look at new unopened boxes on Amazon or something eston posted... That awesome castle is the exact type of thing I always wished I'd had the money / pieces to build. About ten years ago I tried to make my own interpretation of Castlevania out of my 90's-era castle pieces and Harry Potter sets, but never had enough to finish it. I tried to get back into it a couple years ago, even got all my pieces sorted and bought about a hundred bucks of those Elves sets (since they were the closest sets to castle / fantasy available), but was going through a move and they've sat in their boxes since. But they're waiting for me if I get the itch.

You should search for some castle sets on Amazon as they will have a lot of discontinued stuff available that you won't find in most stores. I also think that the pros use sites like this to buy pieces in bulk for their big creations rather than getting them through sets. https://www.bricklink.com/v2/main.page --- I may not go down in history, but I will go down on your sister. ... The Elves sets sound cool. You should search for some castle sets on Amazon as they will have a lot of discontinued stuff available that you won't find in most stores. They've got some nice mystical pieces that can really make a castle set pop. Ten-years-ago me would've been too embarrassed to buy them since they're clearly a girl-geared subgenre, but current me gave far less fucks, heh. I almost bought the big evil witch's castle set 40% off about a year ago, but that was also the same day Wally World finally had a Switch in stock and I had to prioritize. And thanks for that link, looks awesome. Even though legos are probably the most sound toy / hobby investment in the world since they'll never decrease in value, I still don't have the money right now to start sinking back into said hobby. Hopefully someday. --- Simple questions deserve long-winded answers that no one will bother to read. ... Copied to Clipboard!
