How many people do you think actually decide to watch/not watch something based on diversity or PC decisions? Most people just want to watch things that are entertaining

Well yeah, straight white men are the only group that is socially acceptable to attack for their skin color, gender or sexual orientation. You're a racist, sexist, or some variant of -phobe if you disagree.

I agree with this, which is unfortunately also the problem. Most of the "inclusion" is just hamfisted virtue signalling in an attempt to score diversity dollars. Incidentally, it fails frequently because it lacks any sort of substance beyond a change of paint and having the character regurgitate token character talking points, such as the black man who's dealt with racism his whole life or the woman who wants to prove herself equal to men. Bonus points when the producers of this content lash out at people when their lazy attempt at rebranding an existing franchise fails, ala Ghostbusters.

How many people do you think actually decide to watch/not watch something based on diversity or PC decisions?

I'd wager that people don't watch things like this more often than people are willing to admit, though I think that's more due to lack of interest as opposed to actual bigotry.

i haven't seen a single above-average film that was made pre 2011. i only watch a select few tv shows on dvd/blu ray. most of them are either from the 90's/00's or don't have this feature. IF a show has it then chances are high it's not worth watching. but you shouldn't be angry about it. they are just ticking/checking off their target audiences. also, there's a lot of people of a certain gender who want to see men displayed as foolish because they have complexes created in the past. don't waste time, learn to accept, move on.

I'm pretty sure this has been going on since at least the 90's. Maybe it's worse today but I haven't really seen any blatant examples in the shows I watch.... Except in that new Lost in Space on netflix where the dad was portrayed as a bumbling moron who's only good for lifting things, and the women-folk and children are the intelligent ones.
