All of this DQXI talk got me thinkin about the only DQ I've ever played, V

Poor guy though

His best friend gets murdered (and considering how much he cries over it, I kinda think he had a thing for him)

his honorary Nephew disappears on him, and hes dead for all he knows

said nephew shows back up and it means the world to him

but then he disappears AGAIN and left to tend to his....great nephew and niece ? Having to tell them to have hope that their parents are still alive night after night

and then finally getting his happy ending when his family is reunited

also IIRC he wast he only one he could wield the god damn hammer, which wrecked bitches

Even after getting my family back, I benched my daughter, my huge ass PET SABERTOOTH TIGER, and other monsters I've tamed along the way, so god damn Tio Sancho could fuck everyone up and get his revenge

Slime Knight is definitely upper tier in usability as well as aesthetic. I think most people agree Golem is one of the best.

I also kept Sancho in my party most of the time. As long as they didnt flee on the first turn that hammer could wreck metal slimes.

Though if were talking about ignored DQV characters, the crown obviously goes to Tuppence

Out of all the JRPGs that suffer for having too many playable characters and too small a party size, I think this one gets hit the hardest.

Sancho is the greatest wingman to three generations without being creepy in any of them.

I mean he's just a worse King Orc that you get literally right outside where you first get him and he ain't got shit on my boy Golem the Golem, but his story's a damn good one.

Especially in the original SFC version where you could only have THREE active members!!

Though the wives were considerably weaker in that version so you wouldnt really want to use them; IIRC Nera has a level cap of 10
