Can't really get a good answer to this. If I have local file songs on my PC, can I somehow get these into a collaborative playlist to that others can listen to them?

That's what I thought. It's weird though, if I search for something like "mashup" I can find a bunch of songs that weren't uploaded by the original creators, not sure what's going on there.

You can make a playlist of songs you like or think go together in some way, like "Eminem's Greatest Hits" or "Workout songs" or whatever you want, and you can make it public so anybody who finds it can listen to that playlist. So that functionality is definitely there. The mashups you find are probably playlists.

But it sounds like you want to import the list of songs you have downloaded to make it quick and easy, and there's no official spotify support for that as far as I know. There are third party work arounds, but they often involve giving them your account data so their tool can log into your account and do what you are trying to do. My experience with those were somewhat spotty, so I'm not sure they are worth it.

So basically you'll have to search for these songs all individually and add them to your playlist.

Oh, you are actually talking about actual mashup songs - you have to get set up as an Artist to be allowed to upload music.

Don't do that unless you are actually creating original content. Uploading someone else's songs will likely get in you in trouble.

If you actually are creating content like covers or remixes and think it's okay, you can get approved as an artist.
