Didn't require me to sign up with PayPal, because fuck PayPal. No worries on getting scammed. It wasn't an auction site. They were easier to find what I wanted. I almost never had to pay for shipping on my stuff, even before getting Prime. In theory it might be a little worse because, for efficiency reasons, Amazon combines stock together so it can fill orders faster. So unlike ordering from a major company on ebay, you can order from Amazon itself (or a reputable seller who uses Amazon for fulfillment) and potentially get a counterfeit or otherwise bad product.
