So we were coming in from outside and I turned off my flashlight because it was attracting bugs and I tripped on the first step to the porch and she flew out of my arms onto a step and then bounced up and fell onto a lower one. She seems okay but I feel terrible.

Smaller dogs seem to be able to handle this sort of thing better for some reason.

Well, they have nothing on cats in that regard though.

Well my mom dropped her in the yard several years ago and it messed up her knee so bad she had to have surgery. This time she isn't limping or anything.

I sometimes kick cats but it's totally their fault. I spoil the hell out of them all and they repay me by sitting in the dark corners or on the steps, waiting to trip me. One is all black and I swear she knows how light works because she'll lurk in the wedge that light from a window and night light miss. If there was a glow stick collar that wouldn't run out of energy, I'd have it.
