Ehhh kinda.

It was like being in a haunted house -- it was dark and creepy shit was walking around and it made no sense. But the movie knew how ridiculous it was and was pretty funny.

And the main character is cute as hell. She looks kind of like Vera Farmiga, but the timeline didn't work for them to be related -- too old to be her daughter and too young to be her sister -- but I just looked it up and she is her much much younger sister. Like 20 years younger. Wow.

as a person who was raised in a catholic family, I found it very creepy. all the religious imagery and how it gets made creepy was good for me. I liked all the Conjuring movies but I actually was more drawn into this one than any other. it was very interesting to me. I want to see more of the Nun now. I hope they bring it back in a future movie. one article I read sugested a Nun prequel set in the medieval ages maybe. or at least earlier than 1952. maybe tell the tale of what happened before the heroes arrives at the abby. we only saw the last bit of it in the opening scene.
