ice cream will melt by the time you can get home, but if you had a roommate they can drive you home from the store so you can put the ice cream is a freezer before it gets too soft. Also roommate can have a cooler in the trunk in the back of their car so the ice cream won't melt right away on the drive home.

I live in a densely populated area so I have no idea what it must be like to live alone or to live so far from a store that you couldn't just walk back to your place without having the ice cream melt.

How far out do you live? I live 12 miles from town and can still make it home in time with my ice cream and other frozen foods in great shape in the middle of summer.

And I can't even comprehend how having a roommate somehow bends time and space to radically shorten your drive home, because that's what you seem to be implying. likehelly posted... or just get a car. Wait. Is this the problem? You don't have a car, and are just looking for some poor sap to drive you to the store and back? D00d working for uBer Rush/Eats I used to deliver Ice Cream alot... never melted either after 10-15min

Like do you really not even have a convenience store you can walk to? Those may not have a big selection of ice cream, but it's better than no ice cream.

I have never had this problem and I used to walk 30 minutes home from the grocery store with just a box of ice cream in 100F temperatures. What, do you live in fucking Ecuador or something?
