That is a blight on our history but Sossarna have dealt with it in a clear way decades ago.

I condemn calling most SD voters nazis, but there are many politicians in that party with extremely murky pasts (and sometimes presents).

And SD today is different than SD in 1988.
Same thing with Vnsterpartiet, which used to be so Soviet-friendly so they got over a half million USD in support from Moscow and openly supported dictators long after the fall of Soviet.
Ny Demokratis political program was called racism as well, and yet nobody reacted when Sossarna drove a much harder immigration politic on every front except for the demand of some European ID.

They still have a substantial "bunkerfalang" that they can't distance themselves from, because it's simply too big. I acknowledge that many of their voters aren't nazi, fascist or even racist, but the party is still extremely brown not far beneath the surface. I've seen it first-hand.

that whole thing is a tough subject, cause on the one hand, there's those idiots who just refuse to accept the results, they're just morons. i highly doubt there's anyone who would try to actively cheat on the results.
(i'm of course not counting that thing where SD got a mandate from C when they corrected after someone sent in the wrong results, that was probably just an honest mistake)

SD:s party programme still talk about nedrvd essens. There are plenty of active members from the partys founding era who keep getting caught doing neo-nazi shit. High ranking members like Bjrn Sder keep saying you cant be Swedish if youre a Jew. Wow, the party has truly come so far from its roots.

Four other reasons why I cant stand SD:

* Their trade policies are an economic trainwreck.

* Their desire to tear up marriage and adoption rights for same-sex couples.

* Their anti-abortion policies.

* Their plan to bring back the archaic law of Sambeskattning which kept countless women from entering the work force back in the day since the law made them having a job a drain on the households economy.

I also distrust Vnsterpartiet since they havent convincingly dealt with their recent Communist days imo. And Im tired of MP since they keep working against sensible immigration policies which this country need and which would render SD:s extremism moot. Dont mistake my opposition to SD for support for open borders.

yeah, i'm both confused by his remark about foreign occupation, but the response in the article with "Sweden has never been occupied" doesn't seem entirely accurate either.

They've been smeared a lot. Honestly I think they haven't really managed to communicate all the things they managed to do very well. And the party has been rocked by stupid Islam related scandals, and it seemed at some point railroaded by the bigger party. It's been really rough for them and that shows. They shrunk a lot.

Yup, that's what's happening with the Greens here. In a coalition with a party called the NDP (Essentially super liberals) and both parties can't get shit done cause the two head honcho's just argue about all policies.

This Government has done a lot of things, but it has been what the Socialdemocrats wanted at the expense of the Greens wishes most of the time. The exception is the so called Gymnasielagen which allowed 9000 immigrant youths a new asylum trial since they came as minors but hadnt been processed until they turned 18. The Greens threatened to dissolve the Government if the SocDems didnt support that bill. The opposition party the Neoliberals supported the law as well so it passed.

As bad as it is, it's pretty tame. I have a British friend who is constantly astounded at how mild our scandals are and how naive Swedish people seem to be when it comes to things like these.
