If so, how does it go for you? Good experience? Usually good money?

I bought super smash brothers melee on their from a dude once for 30$. Drove 20 minutes to his house, picked it up, payed him, had a blast playing it.

Very good experience.

Went alright. Anytime I sell, I do it from a busy parking lot. If I buy and they won't meet me in a neutral location, I bring a friend.

Uh, is there some sort of history of Craigslist meetups going super bad?

I do think it's good to be safe though.

Never sold anything, but I did buy a monitor. There are a couple bad pixels which annoy me slightly, but at that price it was something I was willing to live with.

Only one bad experience and it was cleared up pretty quickly when I pulled out my gun.

I bought a TV stand for my CRT, despite the fact I was picking it up in a really bad neighborhood it all went really smoothly.

We got both our current dogs on Craigslist. They are both extremely insane.

Just once, the other 2 were free transactions. One listing was looking for old fish tanks and there was one in the attic. The second was an old storm door I got for parts. Third was selling sliding patio doors and that went just fine.

I haven't had any bad experiences so far.
Just make sure to meet in an extremely populated public space or near a police station.

Not me. The only section on Craigslist that interests me is the video game section and, while it's cool to browse through all the cool stuff, the sad truth is everyone selling around my area knows what they have and want at or above eBay/Amazon prices for their stuff. No thanks.

Oh and yeah always meet in a populated public place when meeting up for Craigslist purchases. There have been news stories about people getting mugged and even murdered during these meet ups. Stay safe!

Recently bought a used PSP on craigslist - other than the battery being a bit puffy from not being used for so long the thing was in amazing condition, seemed the guy used it once and that was it.

I've bought several cars on Craigslist over the last 12 years, and sold one. Met some nice people. We arranged to meet at restaurants or shopping center parking lots, and I took a (male) friend with me. The car I sold, we met at the garage where I work sometimes, where I rebuilt the car. Actually, the three cars I have now were Craigslist finds.

Money? Not amazing, but fair deals, in cash, with clean titles and legal bills of sale to protect both of us.

No, although I rented a room from an older couple on craigslist for a month. Rent was reasonable, house was nice.

Yes, I bought a turntable once from this older guy. The condition was he didnt have the equipment set up to show me it worked(though he could plug it in and turn it on) and said if you hook it up to your stereo and it doesnt work, ill just give you your money back. He had a wife and kids and seemed nice so I didnt mind paying before i could verify it worked.

I had a vinyl expert friend helping me, but he couldnt get me set up to see if it was running smoothly for a week. So I contacted the guy telling him as much, and he fucking explodes thinking im trying to cheat him or something....just sent a really nasty email. So I contacted my friend, asked if he could come over sooner and he does. Got it set up, works just fine so I ignored the guy as I had already paid and went on my merry way not even dignifying him with a response. if it didnt work I imagine the guy would somehow make some bullshit up so I'd have had to keep his piece of junk(in the case it was faulty) but in the end it worked out.
