It includes insects and arhropods used in school programs, exhibits throughout the museum and behind the scenes rearing and feeding programm. The IBP team is raising money to regrow their collection after they stole roughly $50,000 worth of cratures are saddened by the loss as they showed what they stole in old photos they had with them.. John Cambridge who owned this museum said 5 employees were in on the heist and caught taking a collection and putting it into their cars and checked the backroom where he found out they were all missing. He said "It's not uncommon for a creature to be taken out of its tank and into the back room receive whatever" He also saw 2 employees work shirts hung from the wall with KNIVES as they are not identified yet Initially he didn't want 5-0 involved but just wanted to contact the men and tell them to bring it back but the Phillie police is investigating it. The GoFundMe said "We strive to bring insects together and other arthropods to the public in a way that they can be loved and appreciated. People may walk in thinking that these insects are "creepy" and have no value but they leave with the knowledge that thees creatures have a unique beauty and are incredibly important for us and our planet" The rare tarantulas and scorpions are the most valued as they were imported from South America and its feared some of them may have already been sold or may be dead because they need to be properly cared for as they do not know the landscape they are in...
