Oh I see we're still doing this thing where we claim the Patriots dynasty is ending when they lose a couple times in September

The strategy seems to be to say it every year so they can claim they're right when it finally does hit

I fell for it once in 2014. That was it.

That said, this season does have a slightly different feel to it. The Patriots have had their bad games over the last few years, but it's been a long time since I've seen this kind of funk last more than one game.

I still think they'll win the division, because lol AFC East, and once the playoffs come, I'm not going to count them out of any game, but I am starting to get the inkling that the consistent 13-3/12-4 seasons are over.

The Pats have 4 more games against teams I would consider to be very good in the Chiefs, Steelers, Packers, and Vikings. Then there are the divisional games, of which the Dolphins seem to be the only threat (especially next week).

Assuming they get it together, I can see 12-4 or 11-5 as a possibility.

I didn't watch the whole Patriots/Lions game, but it seems like from this game and last week's game, all the defense had to do was lock down Gronk and the rest of the team was clueless. It will improve when Edelman comes back, but they need to figure out something when Gronk can't do Gronk things.

The Dolphins can reasonably go 10-6 or 11-5 at this point without being a heavy favorite in any game.

I can't see a single week I would feel comfortable picking them in suicide.

If the Bucs win tonight I am going to be pleased.

Also the Bucs 2 wins are against teams that are 2-1. That's always a good sign for the season when you beat teams who then beat other teams.
