F-Zero has one of the widest and wackiest rosters of characters in like...anything ever. That is simply objectively wrong. The cast ranges from genius children to conscious skeleton creatures to a literal dinosaur to a literal monkey man to an octopus guy to an odd Piccolo looking character that just so happens to be named Pico to many many weird aliens who all look different to their very own cast of superheroes known as Mr. and Mrs. Arrow to bizarre space magicians with really awesome character themes to holy shit I could go on for days.

You should go play F-Zero X or GX.

We're not talking about like, overall designs. They absolutely have some crazy and awesome designs, yes.

I'm specifically talking about body type. A majority of the "human" guys are all muscular dudes like Captain Falcon. That's what I was referring to when he said "Black Shadow is too bulky," since Black Shadow and Captain Falcon are roughly the same size/body type. Obviously there's not only three, that was more of a joke, but the human characters tend to be similar in body type. You've got muscular, fat, skinnier but muscular.

That's not a jab at the designs at all, just saying most of the guys could easily be a Captain Falcon echo without any size concerns because a lot of them have the same body type.

Oh you're totally right about that, and I was even kind of thinking along those same lines after making that post. There are definitely a ton of Captain Falcon types and Jody Summers (hot chick) types and whatnot with the human characters.

But uhhhh Black Shadow is not one of those Captain Falcon types. He's way way bulkier for sure. Still think he could make a cool "echo", but he would probably be about as heavy/bulky as Ganondorf, if not even moreso. That might bring us to "semi-echo" territory even if they had the exact same moveset.

What with all the villain representation it needs to happen though. Or Deathborn from GX. That guy was dope.

It's so weird that they put so much work into making unique themes for all 40 characters in that game and you literally only ever heard this music on a character profile screen. Craziness.

You'd be surprised. In GX, Black Shadow isn't actually that much bigger than Captain Falcon and Blood Falcon. He's a bit taller and is slightly more broad in the upper body, but he's still the same general shape.

It's not a big difference like, say, Falcon to Goroh or Deathborn. Granted, Smash did slim Falcon down a little bit.

I should probably clarify a bit more.

What I mean by "similar to Falcon" is that they both have similar proportions. Shadow's bigger overall, but he still fits the same... Bulky top, slim middle, sturdy legs proportions.

Man they really need to restore Falcon to his former glory

Ive been playing Sonic in Smash 4 a lot lately, and its so fun being able to go super fast. And then after getting used to sonic, i played falcon for a match, and it was just... embarassing

Hes too... stiff, i guess? Hes just slow and awkward. Felt like i was playing brawl. Knee takes forever to come out. Side B is a kill move? Wtf? Ugh.

And the biggest crime is his victory fanfare isnt even METAL AF anymore like melee. Now it sounds like a car ran it over
