She did EVERYTHING right. And the scumbag claimed it was rough, consensual sex. His word against hers, the fucker walked. So dont fucking tell me that men accused of assault are fucking victims, and dont fucking laugh at how awesome it is that Republicans are going to seat a rapist on the Supreme Court. Democrats need a few more election losses to get it, I think. The whole push for the FBI to investigate is really telling. It's not the FBI's job to advise and consent regarding Supreme Court nominees. That's the Senate's job. Joe Biden got that right back when he was Senate Judiciary Committee chairman - but there doesn't seem to be a Democrat nowadays with his level of common sense.

Democrats confuse our customs (over the last few decades only) with our laws and constitution. The FBI is not in the Constitution. Our unelected bureaucracy must answer to our elected officials - not the other way around. Elections must have consequences, and despite President Obama's academic understanding of that, only one party appears to really believe it.

And really, Democrats could have done a lot between 2008 and 2010. That's when they won both the presidency and both houses of Congress. They had a mandate from the voters. They abdicated that mandate by refusing to use it, in some strange attempt at upholding "regular order" which they think includes bipartisan agreement on things. Well, the voters didn't make the mistake of granting Democrats a mandate they wouldn't use again.
