I have read most of it, and it has helped me overcome many challenges and gives me hope. I have been reading it for roughly 10 years and I still read it. I find that I can read a paragraph and I take from it whatever lesson I need, then a year later I read the same paragraph and I take a different lesson from it. Have you read it, and why or why not?

Not recently, no.

I read a few chapters back when I was still going to church, but that all ended in 2008? Yeah.

Reading Genesis was, arguably, a pain. It was like when I started watching Game of Thrones and had all these names thrown out at me and I'm supposed to keep track? Ha!

The most I've used the bible for is rolling joints when I'm at a hotel.

tbh, they do need an abridged version. It might even help to make Christianity more popular >_>

Yes, it can feel like watching the credits before the movie or game even starts. Same thing with the beginning of the Gospel, "Abraham was the father of Isaac, Isaac the father of Jacob, Jacob the father of Judah, etc etc. I wonder why they chose to do this?

Why would I waste my time with a long, boring, trash book that says you should kill gay people, slavery is okay, and has daughters raping their father?

No I've never read it, my family was not religious growing up. Also I don't believe any current world religions are anywhere accurate so thats also why I'm not interested in it.

Weed does it better. And as for the edgy comments I knew a Christian who would do that. He just stuck to the one or two blank pages a Bible has.

I've read enough to know it's a load of bullshit. I don't even have the patience to finish books I enjoy, let alone a 1192 page long shitty piece of fiction.
