Samsung's general layout/UI has been the same for a while so that if it's what you like.

Pixel I'd wait for the 3 or 3xl

Sony makes good phones too. Just got my 2nd one made by them and am pretty happy.

Asus too but their models are confusing cus they have tons.

But for real, if you want good battery life, you might want to consider one that works with a wireless charger. Most phones that aren't cheapos do these days, but I bring it up because it's extremely convenient to just plop your phone onto a wireless charging pad at your desk or wherever you spend a lot of time.

It's not much of a replacement for just having a good battery that lasts a while, but it makes life a lot easier. I wanted a phone with a good battery, too, and I just didn't find one.

Charging pads are also cheap. I just use the $15 one that was the first result on Amazon. Works great. Buy a few and put 'em around your home.

Well damn near anything will have a good layout and decent battery life. Nowadays, it's the extras rather than processors, cameras and OSes that'll sway you one way or the other.

In other words, what else are you looking for?

honestly just buy a battery bank and carry it with you if you want insane battery life, but anything will do better than browsing gfaqs for 30min lol

the only phones with truly bonkers batteries are pretty crappy outside of that(i.e. they're literally gimmick phones that trade other features for stupidly large batteries)

Good battery life mostly, but fast processor and decent camera is also good. I don't mind OS as long as it's not complicated.

All will get more than a day of heavy use (just not gaming), solid performers, and all under or around 800usd

Phablets also tend to have better battery life across the board from just outright having more space for a battery. So if you're open to a large phone, that's something to keep in mind.

Stylo4 is like $300 and is comparable to 2nd tier models. Beaten by iphone, galaxy, or high end HTC, but not by much

I use a galaxy note 8 personally. I heard the note 9 is a near perfect phone.
I used a HTC One M8 in the past before switching to samsung and had nothing but bad experiences with it so i cannot reccomend HTC. I heard the Pixel line is alright but I never used them myself. I like Samsungs ecosystem tbh

If you want a good battery life, you cant really go wrong with an iphone. Samsung historically is extremely hit or miss for the battery. I think the google pixels have good battery but not as good as an iphone

You can get a Galaxy S9 or S9 plus pre-owned for under $800 nowadays if you know where to look. It's hard to say about the pixel especially the new 3 and 3xl because of all the things they are removing since the last installment.

Don't go for the new iPhone because of all the problems they are having with quality control.

Knox is Samsung's proprietary security platform. It makes it harder to tinker with Galaxys since it's tough to get around.

I personally don't care about rooting, so Knox is always going to be a good thing for me.

Anything from Meizu is a safe bet (except the M5 Note, but that's probably too out of date to consider now anyway).

I finally got a nice Samsung S9. Good camera and great battery life. Had to get a screen protector which is worth it.

I'm satisfied with my purchase.
