I'm bad but I'm also much more in tune with the meme side of the Internet than you are. I haven't seen anything DDLC related at all in at least a month, and it's been pretty dead since May. People have moved on and, unlike Undertale (although that's a very complicated story), the game doesn't have a ton of lasting appeal and I'm sure that the likelihood of it being rallied is proportional to how relevant the meme side of it is.

On the other hand, the meme most associated with her (just monika) has a relatively direct connection to a contest that Sans and Draven didn't really have. That could inspire people to rally for her past when they'd normally stop caring.

Reddit still has a bunch of DDLC stuff on the front pages every day.

Relevancy of the meme has nothing to do with its rally potential. The rally becomes the meme almost instantly, and feeds itself from then on. All that's necessary is that people know who Monika is and are passionate enough to vote for her, on the order of ~20k votes. DDLC is a smaller fanbase but it is insanely passionate. Literally 100% of the subreddit will vote for her every time. Who knows how many from tumblr etc will vote.

My current prediction is she'll have some decent rally strength and win her division and beat Mega Man, but be unable to take out Link. At that point maybe people won't care about the losers bracket and she loses in her first or second match there (I have her losing to Vivi but I'm probably taking him too far).

then again Monika is my favorite character in this bracket so I'd be fine with her dominating the field anyway

I think if she beat Link she's winning the whole thing unless she runs into a bigger rally

I definitely see Bowser being stronger than usual. and what's scary is that there is an official bowsette art which surfaced, which suggests that at some point a match pic bomb could be dropped on the contest without warning.

If it reaches Dan Salvato, odds are he'll also tell people to vote Master Hand since it's the same day and he's a HUGE Smash Bros fan.

yeah it's just a matter of whether allen chooses a bowsette match pic, and even if he does we don't know which match that will happen so we can't plan for it ahead of time. basically you have to plan for bowser potentially gaining a huge power boost in one specific match, without knowing which match that is, and also it might not even happen.

Bowsette is absolutely not going to actually show up in a match pic. Don't be ridiculous.

The Super Crown, on the other hand, could be sneaked into a freeform picture if you're creative enough. It's a matter of when freeform pictures become an option, because Bowser would probably be the favorite to win his division even without meme factor.
