I haven't felt any need to go back to it since launch. Unlike bloodborne and ds1. Even ds2 I played a ton just for the obscene amount of bosses

the biggest things for me were the world/level design and the characters. Both had potential but they never seemed to capitalize on that potential.

The world seemed less interesting and the characters less memorable.

It did seem like it was the most playing-it-safe in the series, but that isn't automatically a bad thing.

each dark souls game is progressively worse

the game was far too linear, the balance was terrible, and the pvp was somehow worse than DS2

Personally, I was just worn out of things by 3. I thought it was a great game, but it just didn't grip me.

i thought the gameplay was the best in the series. it was sped up a bit to channel more of BB while still feeling like DS.

I think it's mostly burnout from the series why people don't love it as much, but overall it's definitely the best from a gameplay standpoint

also DS3 got rid of powerstancing, the one good thing from DS2

Felt like there was no need to try new builds which is what killed it for me, the weapon balance was weird and magic seemed to be terrible unless you had a 100% completed end game build.

Oh and Bloodborne is the best and the only remarkable Fromsoft game. Dark Souls is still pretty good tho.

I liked the art style the best but everything else was pretty much the worst in the series (barring 2's technical issues).

It's super polished but super barebones and linear.

Dark Souls 3 starts off being linear, but opens up in the middle of the game, whereas Dark Souls starts off more open

and you can sequence break in DS3 like you would in the first, but instead of using a key to do it, you have to kill an old woman

It literally reused assets from Bloodborne. It was a fucking pathetic, lazy cash in.

It's like they threw Dark Souls 1 and Bloodborne in a blender and shit in it, hit spin and the end result was the garbage that is Dark Souls 3
