I know a lot of people that say critic scores on RT suck and audience is usually better. But for this movie it seems like people are purposely saying the audience scores are wrong. I feel like they just want to hate it

I saw it. Movie deserves a 30%. It was entertaining at times, sure. But the movie is bad. Bad writing, bad villain, bad jokes, bad editing, etc. The only good part was the action at times which is all I expected going in.

I mean what if you're wrong and they know what they think better than you do?

I said this would happen before the movie came out. People were predicting it would be bad and I knew they'd defend those predictions even if it ended up being good. Well it's done stellar opening weekend and people are raving about it, but all the people who said it would be bad are still arguing it's a bad movie, despite the fact most of then still havent seen it.

Internet haters are just getting so predictable nowadays.

And that's horse shit, if people like a movie, it's a good movie. It doesn't matter if it doesn't follow the formula and meet certain criteria that film snobs consider necessary for quality films, this movie isn't supposed to be that kinda movie. It is what it is, and jts great at being that.

There's a difference between a good and a well made movie, that's what you film snobs don't get. And people like The Room because of how bad it is. With the Room theyre laughing at it, with Venom theyre laughing with it. That was a very bad example and you know it.

Venom is a good movie. It accomplished what it was trying to do. The Room did not.

It's very odd. There's definitely a disconnect between "fans" of stuff and critics which is quite odd.

People like this movie, and they like it for the reasons the creators wanted them to like it. Why does that bother you so much? Maybe what you value in a movie isn't what the vast majority of people value in movies. That's ok, no need to tell them they're wrong. It's art bro.

The point of a movie is if it gives you the right kind of enjoyment, not actually about whether or not if it's made well. The Room is something people talked about and will talk about for years because it's such a memorable and entertaining experience that could only be born under very specific circumstances that even Tommy Wiseau can't replicate himself. Under many perspective, it can even be called one of the greatest movies made of all time because it fulfills the basic outcome of a movie so perfectly. Neil Breen movies are another example, but unlike The Room, it has drawn out boring bits.

People enjoying it doesn't make it good or well made.

The Room is not a well made movie.

Venom is not a well made movie.

People can still enjoy movies that are poorly made, and that's fine. Doesn't make them "good" though.

I'll use the Transformers films as an example

All of them do quite well financially, and a fair number of people seem to like them, but they're a total mess and not very good.
