were r/twoxchromosomes and r/socialism quarantined too?

the former is basically anonymous people asserting feminist bs without evidence and just feeding the choir, and the former is full of potential terrorists talking about how great the revolution will be

No

That's a shame. Those both need to be nuked from orbit, along with all those other garbage subreddits that were mentioned.

I like how the breathtakingly stupid conservatives here are making up shit about SJWs, yet T_D, the biggest shithole on Reddit, is still alive because the CEO of Reddit is a piece of shit Trump supporter.

Maybe some day T_D shitbags calling for the murder / rape of people they don't like, will see some crackdowns or moderation but I'm not holding my breath.

I have a signature. Apparently this is important, but I still don't have my secret cool kid decoder ring yet.

r/socialism is a literal safe space for the radical left where you can openly post about violence and revolution and ban people if they challenge your bullshit. it's one big hivemind full of rabid SJWs.

it's true though.
Look at Twitch, Reddit, even Youtube slowly.
the bigger, more controlled by advertisers these companies become the more they control the content on their site. It has to be corporate approved.

And basically corporations only approve of SJW cucklords, but even then they can't cross certain boundaries with what they are allowed to say.

Trihex just got banned on Twitch for saying the F slur. You get banned on Twitch now for drinking too much alcohol lmfao.

The cool thing about Youtube is at least they allow you to say or do what you want, they just demonetize you, which is better than outright banning you like Twitch

using meme to tell your opinion doesn't make it a fact

My point is Twitch wasn't always this way, and has changed it's ToU to meet corporate demand. I'm not saying they aren't in their rights to do so.

These websites start out with freedom of expression to attract content creators and users, then they slowly take away those freedoms to appease advertisers. It's the life cycle of every community based website that goes big time.

Most of what you're saying is true.

Seems like you'd be interested in a system that doesn't force outlets and sites to rely on advertisers.

I mean, what are the alternatives? You could have a donation based system or a subscription fee, but that kind of a revenue stream will never be as effective as corporate advertisers and sponsors.

Twitch actually has a system that could work on it's own. They take a cut of all donations to streamers and that could be used to maintain the website as well as make them profit. However, Twitch is a business and they want to maximize profits, not just do the bare minimum. So they have ads on top of their donation revenue. And most people don't care enough to the point where they would donate to offset the money they would make from corporations after giving them control.

And I don't really expect people do. The internet is oversaturated with free content, there are practically no incentives to pay up.

The alternatives for content producers that put out stuff that doesn't qualify for advertiser income are typically Patreon and, for live streamers, Super Chat donations. Those can actually be pretty lucrative income sources once the content producer establishes a worthwhile fanbase.

A relatively small creator like Mister Metokur makes over $4000 a month on Patreon. Plus whatever he gets from super chats during livestreams. Which is about the only way he could monetize on YouTube when his content is certainly not advertiser friendly.

Didn't reddit call themselves the bastion of free speech once upon a time. Or was that another site.
glad to see a few of these go though
