I started trying to rebuild a classic gaming collection. I started with n64 and the first Mario Party. The cartridge came today but still waiting on the console. But the chips inside looks discolored to me. I can't be sure til the system comes but.... Does this look ok? It's the best I could do. Maybe it's not good enough lighting to tell but I thought I'd try
It's been years since I saw a n64 cart so I don't remember how it's supposed to look ![]() ... Copied to Clipboard!

It looks fine dude.
Even if it did look weird, the N64 is a 20 years old childrens toy so its rarely going to look pristine. Also what was the original pic lol --- Since I'm not popular, I'll post on GameFAQs. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Looks pretty filthy but if the contacts are clean, it'll be alright. If you feel the need to clean the contacts, just use a q-tip and some Isopropyl alcohol. If you want to do it properly, you have to open it up and clean the contacts with a pencil eraser. Note that you need a Nintendo bit key to open the cart.
