I already registered... But I can't find information on what's going to be at my ballot. Where do I get this info so I can vote in an educated manner (vs blindly choosing someone with a D or an R next to their name)?

Tag for later, still working. Ballotpedia can be a good source to research candidates.

Also https://www.opensecrets.org is good for finding who is financing or buying a candidate/good determination of where they stand on issues.

I did not find it easy to get information on every race that I would be able to vote on so I voted early by mail as I enjoy being able to do my research at home with my ballot in hand. Hopefully someone else can help you out there.

I thought those absentee votings don't count unless the race is close?

It depends on the state.

I live in NJ and signed up for mail-in ballots since 2016.

Its really convenient and its a lot easier to make sure my vote counts in case something funky is going on at the polls.

In Ohio they are the first counted.
