Yeah. It's a kiddified version of Ratchet and Clank 1.

Definitely lost a lot of the classic feel with the movie tie in

Side note I really need to get a functional ps3 or ps2 rig so I can play the classics

Damn, I was going to suggest PSNow if you wanted to play them without getting a new system, but Ratchet 1-3 isn't on there.

I've been going back to platinum them all. I finished GC and I'm about to finish UYA and I still think the 3rd is the worst of the original trilogy. It loses a lot of personality and exploration, feels completely linear and the weapons really aren't too fun.

I liked the 2016 reboot but yeah it's definitely dumbed down and Ratchets personality is completely lost. I just want a sequel to it already tho like what the heck how has there not been anything announced.

Agreed. UYA bought into the series' own hype about it being all about goofy weapons and combat which cut back on exploration and platforming and jazz. And then it just blatantly had multiplayer maps and objectives in the single-player campaign.

Agreed as well. I really didn't like the vehicle combat at all either. Felt like the whole war between the Tyranoids was forgot about for side story right after it was announced.
