I know votes are doubled for registered users, but will it be enough to give Link a great chance of winning and thwart outside rallies for characters like Draven, Sans, or even Bowser?

I just can't see Link losing to anyone when he has a second chance against them.

Prior to the new rule, I would have been 50/50, but knowing site users count for double, it'd take a rally beyond what Draven brought to topple Link. I don't see anyone here with that kind of potential.

Same. I'd love it if Yoshi won, but I know that's never going to happen unless he gets meme'd right now and it results in a rally.

Personally, I wouldn't mind Link winning as I love Breath of the Wild. I love it so much, I 100%'d it on two different Switch profiles.

Then again, it would be pretty hard to take Link down with the double-vote bonus... assuming Reddit or whatever site hasn't secretly planned a rally by creating lots of fake accounts.

That's what I'm fearing the most is people voting with 0 or 1 karma accounts. That would make the double votes deal pointless if the point of it is to thwart outside rallies from happening.

Anyone else want to convince me to pick Link as the winner?

I picked Link, I could see Mario or Snake beating him though.

Mario lost to Vivi a few years ago. He ain't beating Link.

Link, especially since the whole double elimination thing probably favours him if he loses to a rally at some point. The rally will lose steam after winners finals, while Link would probably be the beneficiary of anti-votes against the rallied character in that scenario. Without a sufficient rally he wins 100%, and even with a big rally involved he has decent odds, especially since Breath of the Wild still seems to be held in high enough regard in enough places for him to likely steal some votes from any rally that happens

Allen should've set the cutoff date back to when he first announced the contest. Still, with the site regulars' numbers dwindling, it wouldn't be hard for an outside rally to take over the contest again, even with the bonus.
