I just realized that everyone I've met that played these have cheated in them in some form.
Even spawning cars is still cheating.
Using cheats for fun doesn't count but like giving yourself weapons or armor before or during a mission would count.

I got really far into San Andreas and quit because the game just kept going and going and going and going and going

The last thing I remember was that I stole a jetpack and flew out of some place, I think that was the last mission I completed before just putting it down forever from burnout. How close was that to the ending?

I haven't 100%ed any GTAs, but I've completed the storyline of San Andreas without cheats. For Vice City, I've technically completed every individual mission without cheats, but I don't have a save file where I've reached the end without it; I've used them while messing around in free roam during every completed file I've had.

Aside from SA, I've also completed the two PSP games (though the PS2 versions thereof) plus IV and V without cheats (does V even *have* cheats?).

Never did San Andreas, although I have beaten it without cheating tons of times.

100% on both. Initially I did use cheats on Vice City but then heard that you couldn't 100% it if you did (that turned out false) and so I started a new game.

Can't recall if I beat GTA3 legit though

I rarely cheated in GTA games and never saved if I did. 100% Vice City, came close to 100% San Andreas but that is a very tall order.

I wish they pedestrian riot excluded you. So I could watch them all kill each other and not die in 2 seconds. Also I don't know why the never included no cop cheats. It'd be fun with no cops. Let the peds sort their own shit out.

I used cheats only after completing the game. And on a clean file. No saves. At least only if it didn't carry over saves (like the Purple Nines Glitch)

I highly recommend going back and finishing it (though understandable if you don't want to get 100% - but at least complete the storyline). It's a very strong contender for "best GTA game"; only the GTA4 DLCs come close IMO.

San Francisco Rush is the only game I use cheats exclusively for.

Time off:I want to race the cars, not the timer.
Auto abort off:I do not want to be automatically set on the track. I'm not there for a reason (ie:key collection)

Rush 2:
Super Speed:....okay so I accelerate faster and hit a higher top speed.....Sheesh, I'm not perfect.
Time off:Same
Auto Abort on...er...off...so you need to turn OFF instead of ON because they reversed it. Later N64 games are known for having lax debugging :/

Invincible....you know, blowing up immediately if I hit anything in the stunt course is a downer. If I land on my roof, that's just what I'll have to deal with.
