Like, I know people frequently associate their deities with parents, but what would you think of a parent who went to their child's graduation and demanded that the child give a speech about how everything they accomplished in school was entirely because of their parent and that they would be incredibly angry if they didn't. I don't say anything to them about it and they've even mentioned once how they caught themselves do it.
