1. How is this an awesome detail by the writers? This isn't clever.
2. He didn't pronounce the name of the cat correctly in the episode
3. He was crying because he wanted to make a scene to alievate blame from him hitting a cowokwer with his car
4. The joke in this scene is that he didn't care about his cowokwer in this instance and was just using the situation for selfish gain..it's like this joke went over their head

In my experience people grossly overrated how good The Office is

Every day people post pictures like that looking for "INTERESTING UNDER THE RADAR TIDBITS"...Eventually they all get used up so they dig deeper for pointless shit like this....And since its an office meme of a funny scene it gets upvotes on the Office subreddit.

Yeah true. I'm not upset or anything lol just wanted an excuse to talk about the office and I saw this on the front page.

You're right that he was just using it to get attention, but the point of the reddit post is that they're impressed he even knew the cat's name in the first place.

There's subs called moviedetails and tvdetails. They were actually pretty interesting at first, but now half the posts are where the kind of detail is incredibly obvious and in your face and everyone is getting into a massive fit over it.

I thought Creed being the only one to know Hank's name in the "Night Out" episode was a lot more subtle of this type of thing. Or the whole "Garbage/Bandit" switch with the same cat.

Rewatch and look at the comments. He says "prinkles" without the S. I took it as the writers joking he didn't even really know about the cat. He just wanted to deflect from his own misdeeds and jumped at the chance quickly for another thing
