The problem with food service is lack of employees. Stores can't give quick and quality service if there's only 2-4 people working at the store at once when the job requires 6 or so more people.

First of all fuck him for not seemingly not mentioning to the order taker, his sons allergy that is so severe death is a high risk. Cross contamination is a risk even if the thing you ordered does not have that ingredient and his attitude of well my kitchen was perfect so yeah is asinine.
IF SOMEONE YOUR CHILD HAS A SEVERE ALLERGY YOU INFORM EVERY SINGLE PERSON/ESTABLISHMENT WHO MAKES OR SERVES FOOD FOR THEM ABOUT IT/READ THE INGREDIENT LABEL ON EVERY PACKAGE! EVERY SINGLE TIME! Failing to do so out of human error is understanble but his attitude seems to be Mistakes are completely unexceptable and my personal anecdotes proves that making no mistakes is possible and therefore it is not necessary to do so . However even if the workers made no mistake...It is possible to commit no error and still fail. That is one of lifes hardest lessons. Good luck removing every single particle of food from a prep surface between each item. Unless you are literally Jesus Christ there is no fucking way you are going to be able to do that without deep cleaning the entire kitchen/yourself between each item and even with said deep cleaning its iffy. Mistakes happen. He should know this considering he mentions having gotten scars and burns...However a reasonable person will put extra effort into making sure the right thing goes out when a potentially fatal allergy is in play. Not to mention food service can be high volume and its quite easy to have more work on your plate than can be reasonably done by one person. If you are short staffed or scheduled bad hours(I.E hours that prevent you from getting sufficent sleep) its extremely People who act like food/service errors are deep personal affront disgust me(particularly because the people that tend to do that do things that make getting their order right harder...) This guy has more reason than most to be upset but that doesnt change that his actions are hardly faultless and his reaction is pretty extreme. Not to mention we are getting one side of the story on a anonymous message board. People can be fucking morons when ordering food. When you order something that an allergen concern isnt part of the order normally, why should I? If you you go to a pasta place and order a pasta with an Alfredo sauce, and instead you get shrimp scampi. (And you are allergic to shellfish) Do you eat the plate or request it to be fixed? Honestly if it was me, Id be a bit perturbed. Yikes. Dude has a young child with a fatal allergy and he feels he doesnt even need to inform food servers of said allergy. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!
