I watched Freddy vs Jason yesterday and found myself rooting so hard for him.

Imagine Aiko being a psychic who reached into Jason and made him feel loved. His mom is overjoyed that someone would care for him. Major character shift as he now devotes his life to protecting Aiko. He can only really say her name and grunt. But his grunts generally express his state of mind, with Aiko further translating due to her psychic powers.

1st arc develops both characters.

2nd arc introduces a new character for the Jason crew. Also introduces a threat to Aiko, perhaps the government or a criminal group that seeks to utilize her powers. Arc ends with her powers developing into telekinesis as she saves Jason.

3rd arc establishes a powerful villain that is hell bent on killing Aiko. Either for revenge of some sort or because he wants her powers. Government or criminal group is still in pursuit. Aiko dies as a result and Jason is hell bent on revenge.

It could go so many ways after that.
