And it had nothing to do with Halloween as if i remember it wasnt around Halloween at all.

Most egging happens the night before Halloween (Mischief Night), so whether you hand out candy or not is pretty much immaterial to whatever happens to your house.

Though honestly, I'm not even sure kids still do that at this point. It feels like a lot of things we used to take for granted haven't really impressed themselves upon the current generation all that much, for good or ill.

Do kids still waste perfectly good eggs on halloween? Wasnt that just from ancient times?

Not on Halloween. But whenever I did a sleep over when I was 13, I was getting into these kind of shenanigans. We used to sneak out of my friends bedroom window with a carton of eggs and sneak over to this one guys house to piss him off. It was awesome and fun times trying not to get caught passed curfew.

I never had a house.

Maybe it just the town i am in. It has changed now.

Nah, my house growing up was in the middle of nowhere, I was the only kid for like a square mile.

Where I am now the neighborhood kids like me because I let them play in my yard. They wouldn't egg my house, at least not before some of the older neighbors who yell at them all the time.

I think the worst was that we got unofficially blacklisted for giving out Tootsie Rolls because they werent popular that year.
