I know we made it look easy getting her safe most rounds but let me tell you, everything had to go perfectly every single time with everybody showing up, the luck ran out this time.

But hey, if lefty ran one more 9 pm round in the past week, or one of my compatriots no shows, she would've been out easily. And it's almost preferable to lose via save-curbstomping than being eliminated so close, I should have loaded up NRs but that'd just get her one more day, what's the point. Time to just let go. Got way, way too invested in an FF character popularity contest.

@linkhatesganon and @PlasmaKappa thank you so much for the support, PM me your preferred characters next in line and I'll try to avoid sniping them out if/when I'm in 4th hour rushes

@Janus5k let's keep our trade on, if you're up for it

@KommunistKoala I don't remember when I started participating in this properly, the earliest elimination I really remember is Ultros (just because of Relm's constant slippery snipe success). I suspect you were the one keeping Cissnei afloat in the FoG rounds... thanks.

@STElNER I've probably played FF7 40 times by now but Xenosaga Episode III is a strong runner-up. I'd take a Xenosaga trilogy HD remaster over the 7 remake in a heartbeat. Also thank you for the saves, again.

Cissnei is one of the many FF7 side characters who have struggled to find their way over the years - she managed to survive more rounds this year than in her last three appearances combined. For that, she gets a nice healthy boost from 35.51% to 42.43%, flying up 15 spots to 72nd.

While I am NOT canceling today's round, it will either be very late (ignoring my usual 6:30PM cutoff) or not at all. The round is significantly more likely, but I'll make sure to let you all know if it won't be happening.

this has been a "problem" for VII characters, but Barret's bests are especially egregious on this front - two of his three top tens were in CXIV (the year Zack won) and CXIX (the year Cloud won)

Also I want to see stats on characters who had new personal bests in this contest (which Cissnei did) and greatest spot movement (15 spots could be the largest positive movement)

I am not sure if it's worth bothering, Garnet was 1 second away from being eliminated last round and this is with 4 trades I gave her
A night round means I can't give her those 4 saves (I am not crazy enough to wake up 4 times in one night and wait for a trade each time when there is work tomorrow)
I pretty much accepted her death if it happens

Yeah but that was with burke missing 3 hours of saves, if he's back for this plus a night dynamic could change everything. You trade right at the start, then alarm clock 3 hrs later to save Garnet yourself.

Other primary traders missing out due to a Saturday night means their characters lose 3 or 4 saves, enough for elimination. If Ark isn't around does Sazh lose? If fbike, edea? Never over until it's over!!

Though yeah, it probably is over...

If Janus wasn't slow on the NR offer, it would have already been over >_>

Yup. One of Clouds strongest days last year was in the top 10 when I was banned and he as astoundingly the first guy saved that round.
