T-Swizzies first full pop album and an album that most people seem to like and think is good, so i'm gonna listen to it right now song by song and see if it really is as good as people say (mmhm) it is.

I've only heard most of the singles from the album so far, so this is my 1st time hearing the full thing.

So lets see if she started off her pure pop career on a high note.

First up:Welcome To New York. I like that it starts this album off with an 80s vibe already, very 80s like instrumental here and her vocals having an echo-y type effect like songs had on them back then.

I think its a pretty good start to the album so lookin' good so far. Next up:Blank Space.

What can i say that hasn't been said already about Blank Space, The music video's pretty funny and the song itself is pretty fun too. Great choice for a single and a nice song to keep the album going.

Fun fact for those who may not know yet, is Taylor made this song as a response to all the people & critics saying things about her love life and how she went through boyfriends at a fast rate.

"Gotta long list of ex-lovers (Starbucks lovers lol memes) they'll tell you i'm insane! But I've got a blank space baby, *click* and i'll write cha name!"

Love this song, so catchy. Next up:Style. Another one of the singles i've heard and love and *spoilers* continues the nice 80s vibe.

This was actually a really good pop album thanks to the production. Her last album was straight garbage, though.

God, i love this song! The instrumental is fuckin' great and the song is really good, probably my favorite song on the album so far.

I'm really glad they chose this to be a single too because its just that damn good.

Listen to this song and if you don't like Taylor then the instrumental itself should be enough to redeem the song, it really is that great of an instrumental.

As far as the music video goes, its alright. Nothing too special or anything but still ok.

Hope this song never goes out of Style. Next up:Out Of The Woods. Probably the only single i've haven't heard yet from the album.

This was actually a really good pop album thanks to the production. Her last album was straight garbage, though.

Reputation has some great songs and overall it works really well, one of my favourite albums.

Dat 80s instrumental,man. Dem hard hitting and epic drums and snares! Damn, i was not expecting that dude.

That was awesome purely based on that cool as hell instrumental, i thought Style had a good one, this one takes it up to another level. Pretty good music video for it too, better than the Style MV for sure.

Song was good i liked it, very well produced song and has a nice upbeatness to it.

Fun and upbeat song that is good yet again. Don't think i have much to say about this one except i liked it and found it to be good.

Dem Haters gonna hate and the players gonna play cause next up its time to Shake It Off!

Everyone has heard of this one and it was the lead single from the album.

Again, what else can i say that hasn't been said about Shake It Off before. Its fun, catchy and upbeat, just a really great song to listen to and just go wild when no ones looking (or maybe they are but you don't care.)

Great lead single choice here and an overall fun and great song too. Music video is of course very fun and upbeat like the song and at times can be funny.

Recommend this one for sure if you haven't heard it somehow yet.

Lets keep letting the haters hate, the players play and the fakers fake so we can just keep shaking it off.

I listened to this album exclusively for months. Hearing songs like Blank Space and Style for the first time was incredible.

Welp, this one was just awesome. Again the freakin' awesome 80s instrumental comes back to be, well, freakin' awesome. The drums and electric guitar are just amazing and really add to the very 80s sounding backing track.

This also adds to the charm and very fun and upbeat nature of the song. Definitely another favorite of mine on this album. Recommend it wholeheartedly.

Oh boy, here comes everyone's favorite Katy Perry diss song, Bad Blood. Have heard this one as well.

So i just listened to the album version of Bad Blood and i don't really know what to think.

I find it to be alright, i guess. Not the worst thing i've ever heard.

The single version makes it even more catchy-er than the album version somehow.

Definitely a step up for sure, and the music video's well done too, plus its got Selena Gomez in it so that's awesome.

Album version is alright i guess but the single version is kinda better. Listen to both if you want to see for yourself.

Next up:Wildest Dreams. Another single and one i really just remember the chorus to mostly.

Don't really know what to think about this one either.

Its like i find it to be good in someways, like i kinda like the chorus and the echo-y vocal effects adding to the song's aesthetic but then i don't know if i really like it or not yet.

This one is undecided for now, but i will say i do like the epic and booming grand instrumental in the song though.

Oddly enough Shake it Off is the only song on the album I outright hate. It hits that annoying level of upbeat for me, and just doesnt fit with the rest of the album

The very fun and upbeat party comes back with a big bang in this song, I love it.

The instrumental is great, the overall tone of the song is great, this song is just enjoyable to listen to.

Recommend it for sure if you want to have a nice fun song to liven up your day or party.

Another favorite of mine fo sho. And who knows, it might even help you get the girl. ;)

So now we slow it down with a very nice 80s-ish ballad about a long lost love coming back after a long time away.

The lyrics are mostly good, the instrumental is good, Taylor's vocals are pretty good and its a nice song to listen to especially the chorus i think.

If you like the slower types of songs and like good vocal harmonies to go along with everything good about the song, then give this one a try.

Give This Love (song) a chance and you might like it.

I love 1989. I ranked it #28 on my Top 50 of 2014 and Blank Space made #9 of my top 100 songs from that year. Good stuff

I really like I Know Places, its kind of this R&B Reggae type music with a nice piano starting it and end it off and coming back for the chorus.

Fun song for me and you really need to hear it to see what i'm talking about so search it up on Youtube or Spotify.

I think its another one of my favorites. Give it a listen to see what you think.

Track number 13:Clean. The last song on the standard edition i believe, but i'm listening to the deluxe version so about 3 more songs to go after this.

Okay, so out of all her songs on the album so far, this one sounds the most like Country girl Taylor.

Its yet again a more slower song but its still great to listen to, it even has banjos i think playing in the background along with the other instruments so that's why it reminds me the most of old school-ish Country Taylor.

Another nice song to listen to and its kind of relaxing too so that's a plus.

Her voice and all are very relaxing in Clean so give it a shot if you want a nice pretty and relaxing song.

Song number 14:Wonderland.

So Wonderland, is kinda of a complicated thing to explain, like the genre its going for i have no idea. But that might be on purpose because of the theme of the song.

Basically Taylor in wonderland meets the "ehs" from Rihanna's song "Umbrella".

I guess i like it but you really need to listen to this one to get what i'm saying.

The big orchestral instrumental is nice though.

Song number 15:You Are In Love.

Yep, i like this song, really nice beat to it and brings back the 80s vibe too kinda, just with a more R&B kind of mid-tempo chill vibe to it.

Everything about this song is nice from the vocals to the instrumental and the production on it.

One of those songs to put on when you just want to have that really smooth chill type of time, maybe even get a little frisky with that gal or boyfriend. ;)

So You Are In Love gets a big thumbs up from me and a highly recommendation to listen to.

So we come to our finale with song number 16:New Romantics. Lets hope this ends on a high note.

Man, the chorus to new New Romantics is awesome, the pre-chorus' leading up to it is great too. The verses however are just ok i guess, she does this kind of sing-y rap type thing during it so its kinda weird.

But the song itself is just this really fun and dance-y song leading up to the chorus where it explodes into this nice mix of 80s and modern dance-pop song where it gets really good.

I like it a lot and i'm glad she ended the full album with a fun dance song to bring things to a nice close.

If you like dance songs, listen to this song, you won't regret it.

So that's all for the album and i must say i enjoyed it a lot. I'll give my full thoughts on the album in the next post.

So what do i think about this album? Well, the people who were saying that its a good or even great album are right, it is good, very good.

Some people even say its her best album to come out so far and while i can't really say for sure if that's true or not since this is the 1st Taylor Swift album i've heard the full album of so far but they could be right.

But for me just about every song on here is good, kinda even counting the album version of Bad Blood.

This is a very good album from start to finish with even the sorta lowish point being Bad Blood not really bringing down the quality of the album barely any.

The production of 1989 is top notch all the way through pretty much just like some others were saying in here & i agree.

So bottom line is, if you like an album with great production values, fun 80s style songs, good songs in general and pop music then this is an album you want to check out if you haven't already.

Four years later and its still a good album. So she did start her full pop career on a high note. A really high note.
