Just this once, I'm gonna be shameless. You know how hard I pushed Lightning as part of YoFFXIII. And due to some fuckery and shenanigans, she got gypped out last round. But you can still join YoFFXIII and help honor her memory by helping out with her three allies!

And Edea gains two saves back from Eddv, so I'm in about the same position I was this round. It actually isn't impossible to overcome, though it really depends on how many RM/Ramza supporters show.

I wasnt not being modest there.

Its more a happiness thing to finally confirm we have it.

Last year Steiner, Chris, and I had shown multiple times in the top 50 or so that Cloud had that next gear, or could turn on afterburners.

We are almost at the top 10 and this was the first time Vince has actually shown that killer gear that you need to get to the top 5.

Anyway let me be clear about something. Vincent Valentine has a good groundswell of support due to one person. That is Koala. Koala has been a supremely loyal trade partner and ally for five years now. He was asked to see his favorite didn't have the strength in years past and to bend the knee so that the characters who had the support could do well. He helped Rydia win a championship. He helped Red Mage get 3 top tens. He helped Steiner win his championship. Last year I promised that I would do my best to see Vincent win a championship and that is what I plan to do.

But Vincent savers need to maybe stop biting the hand that feeds them. Maybe learn a few things from Koala when you have someone helping the character you want to see win. Just a thought! Like it is harder when I don't have an alliance behind me! Red Cloak Alliance has been great for both characters. Helping Red Mage helps Vincent I promise! I've done the math.

Although outside of my favorites it is amazing how many characters left I really like. Rikku/Seymour/Vivi/Ramza all very high quality.

I'm just telling you that it doesn't act as a beacon to say things like that. To win, you also need to be able to harness voters from other fallen participants. It's no big secret that Vincent is my second favorite left at this point, and while I want to win as much as anyway else I'm not sure my character can ever win honestly. That's just a hard fact to face; I know it deep down obviously, but imagine always coming in knowing you have almost 0 chance at actual victory here. But I still have to try.

That said, provided Vincent does outlast Seymour, I don't want to hate myself for voting for him.

It's the selfish paradigm. "Is this good for me?" What does pissing people off randomly do to help me? Nothing. So I don't want MWC to do it. I just called Edea a whore and think Fbike is a dirty saver for what he did with Lightning, extremely dirty, so I am not going to hold back from opinions but there's a point where it just doesn't help anything.

But yeah like 8/13 left I'd be quite happy to see win most years, this is a very Chris-friendly top 20 overall.

Also I find it absolutely gutless for any FF13 saver to trade for Edea after that. I remember when voltch's camp did that to Cecil and the next round I had Hope staked in the middle of the topic for all to know what happened when you crossed me. Like, FF13 people I have actually admired your work and Inviso's sacrificing of his personal favorites but anyone who traded with Fbike after that is just... yeah. I feel bad for Lightning, my eternal rival in this.

I'd definitely embargo trades, but I personally can't afford to on NRs. No others were being offered, and frankly, Seymour is a niche character that needs those saves. There's no big movement or push happening like for others; the only real difference is Tidus died and my fiancee is willing to humor me. Other than that, it's like Seymour's usual two supporters pushing him as best they can.

Though obviously I appreciate Lopen's vote; but I am happy to leave it at that and not ask him to push him with trades. I think I know Lopen well enough to know that I should leave that alone.
