No way no brackets had someone other than the 2 in each match winning. For example, I had Kazuma Kiryu and L-Block in yesterday's match.

If you look at your bracket, it doesn't even color them red if you have a non participant winning the match

I think that in the event you don't have anyone there, your bracket is counted in the spot your pick would be in?

Or maybe the name of the loser includes all picks who didn't have the right winner. Since it's a database query, I think that's more likely.
