Moana was pretty and the music was good, but its plot and moral was so dead in the water to me before I sat down to watch it. "X person doesn't like their vocation and would rather be Y."

Uh, she was fine with her "profession." She just also wanted to explore. More importantly, both films are about a female character defying their families' wishes to do what they feel is right. So why criticize one but not the other? Especially when Moana is better overall?

It must be a Boomer generation thing.

If you're claiming that an obsession with Trump is a boomer thing, does that mean you're secretly a boomer?

Other than Lion King (which is more or less an automatic #1), that list is awful. Awful! Awful, I say! I say awful!

It may not be as paint-by-numbers as yours but I find something especially enjoyable about every one of those.

Lion King - Needs no explaination

The Princess and the Frog - Love Dr. Facilier, the voodoo/hoodoo background of New Orleans and just how much more darker it is than your typical Disney movie.

National Treasure - Obviously a little far-fetched but I love the history involved, I'm a big Sean Bean fan, Diane Kruger is smoking hot and it's one of the few recent movies where Nick Cage actually reigned in the over-acting a little bit. Then National Treasure 2: Books of Secrets came out and Nick Cage went back to being Nick Cage.

Mulan - "LET'S GET DOWN TO BUSINESS!"

The Emperor's New Groove - Love the humor
