If there's one thing I regret about the setup it's that I had a "Kill Chris" the role. But it was done just to suit the flavor and make it more like Danganronpa where a kill happens before the trial. Alternative was to have a night 0 kill, but i hate those. It also acted as Scum's 1-shot Strongman/ninja shot basically

like, i'm going all in with trusting neablis 'cause that's what i've got.

my basic instincts tell me that johnbobb is okay. same-ish for sultan, plus i'm treating neablis that the guy sultan replaced had a really townie start.

so that leaves corrik, han, igcd, and death. if igcd is town, then that makes my scumteam corrik/han/death. likely i'm wrong about one of those and either john or sultan is fooling me (or neablis is a pro) but that's my read of the game as of now.

I explained why I think Neablis' effort looks good.

I explained why I think Johnbobb's level of conviction and stubbornness/annoyingness is towny to me.

I explained why I think that even if Han is scum, he wouldn't tie himself to a buddy with a fake townscan, and therefore IGCD is likely town.

And I explained why FFNut's initial claim looks really good for Sultan.

That leaves me with Corrik, Han, and death, who have good claims, but I don't see behavioural reasons to townread them.

I've outlined my process very clearly. I'm not throwing darts anywhere, and I won't allow you to trick people into believing that just by repeating it enough times.

Neablis is new-ish, right?

He seems pretty earnest to me. Doing a lot of work to solve things. Writing big stream-of-consciousness posts where he goes through all his thoughts to try to solve some mess of night actions I don't really get. He answers questions calmly and never has trouble explaining himself. He seems confident in himself.

Doesn't feel like scum to me. Not newbie scum, at least. People think he's capable of faking this?

My only other thought right now is that besides Neablis being town (which I could be wrong about if I'm a naive fool), I'd also say Johnbobb is probably town?

Reason being his confidence in voting Neablis, the way he keeps bringing up that one of him/neablis/corrik must be scum due to mylo-logic. Sometimes that's a powerwolf tactic (i.e. a scum playing really boldly), but johnbobb doesn't feel like that kind of player.

it sounds like han is likely town because of this complex interaction he had with neablis, but just remember that sometimes scum can tell when town is doing a gambit, and they play into it and then everyone thinks they're town for it because that's the simplest (and most naive) explanation

i don't have a clue what happened, i'm just saying, be careful

what's a scum watcher really gonna help scum with? maybe get lucky and identify some power roles? sounds like a decent play to do what a town watcher would do, and get "confirmed" for it

in my brief time in the thread, i feel like i keep seeing people express that he's not necessarily confirmed town

but no one really doing anything about it

it feels like scum are potentially trying to keep the "corrik's role makes him town" narrative alive because it's what'll push them through to a win

it doesn't feel like scum are trying to discredit a "confirmed" town role because they need the mislynch. i.e. scum are at mylo and there's easy lynches on the table (i seem to be one of them) so they have no need to start doubting corrik here. if he's town they'd just accept that he's seen as confirmed town, and wouldn't bother. so it's more likely the people shading him are town, yeah?

i'm aware this would make han scum since han is pushing the "corrik has to be town" angle the most. we'll see.

and if we admit a scum watcher might pick the "pretend to be town watcher" play, then corrik deserves no points for doing what a town watcher would do.

Let's consider the Corrik/Han team.

They're in this position where they have by far the most "confirmed" roles, they have more night action info than anyone else, and they're essentially using it to back each other up. From both of their perspectives, they trust each other and therefore trust that IGCD is town. And Corrik trusts Sultan, and Han trusts Neablis, so they both have a PoE of Puns/Johnbobb/Death/Neablis or Sultan, is that right?

They're basically in the best position in the game, if they are town, since they think they have everything mostly figured out, and therefore they are on track to win.

But if I look at people's behaviour today, it feels like Neablis and Sultan are doing more to question things, with Neablis analyzing all the night action stuff from different angles, Sultan trying to go after Corrik and seeming confused about what to do... Johnbobb just went for Neablis, IGCD is also questioning things it seems.

The question is if those people are doing all this work because they're scum who are in trouble from being locked down by Corrik and Han's roles, or if they're just confused town who don't have a clue what to do at mylo. They don't feel like they're panicking, so I dunno. Meanwhile Corrik and Han should be the most confident, but Corrik... backed off of Neablis, and seems a bit cagey about who he actually will vote today. (Back to Neablis? Me? Death?) It feels like he's trying to get a feel for things before making a move, doesn't it? I wish Han was here to talk, because Han also didn't really feel like had much of a direction, even though he really should, shouldn't he?

And also, if Corrik and Han are really so confirmed town, why would scum try to cast doubt onto them? Multiple people admitted that Corrik and Han could be scum still, Sultan and IGCD even voted Corrik (if I can trust the votals lol)

It feels like, if they're scum who knew Corrik was a super OP town role, they'd just say "yeah Corrik is town", they wouldn't risk looking bad by shading him or voting him.

The most I said was that there were times I was less certain about johnbobb being town, and that han could scan his buddy, which would make IGCD scum and death town.

But anyway, I don't feel too bad about it. The scum pushed that lynch through with just Neablis's help. The three musketeers, me and John and Sultan, all got on the same page. If IGCD hadn't gone MIA, we'd have been fine.

There's not a thing I could've done differently, so I have no regrets.

But Han, you better demand people apologize to me. =P

Dels, you had such a good game after replacing in. As soon as I asked Ben who the scum team was, I knew we'd lost, but you gave me a sliver of hope. I'm a tad pissed that nobody else at all really looked at Han after the guy who counter-claimed scanner died at night. Oh, and ignored my track on Johnbobb the night where we had the most "scum actions". But the fact Han, Corrik and Death were all alive should have been a hint to me, plus the fact that good players kept going after people I was almost certain were Town (the Neab and Scare ones both really set me off, because I was certain they were Town. Same with Doop being scum.)

Shoulda pushed harder with better arguments for lynching scum instead of defending Town as well, but honestly with that scum team when they daykilled Chris we were always screwed. Puns never really got into it either.

Good game I played like shit most of the game but that's ok. It's what I get really I have a bad habit of trying to solve the game from an actions standpoint when I'm better at isoing and figuring things out but meh.

Oh I in no way had Han pegged.

But I had you cold and I was leaning scum on death.

The fact that SBell was godfather meant I trusted Han implicitly, at least at current.

Between cop and tracker and passive watcher I knew there was to much scanning power.

But I figured that because so much of the logic was based on the info you were providing meant the whole house of cards falls apart if you were lying about some of it. Throw in the fact that the flavor of "being able to see the movements of people" fit the danganronpa flavor for the bad guys really well and it's a done deal. Host can even confirm I pm'd him naming you as scum.

I didn't catch your attempts to signal your cohorts, but that's something I might have picked up on if I ever got to the point of an iso of you. I've spent an undue along of time trying to subtly signal aligned members in previous games that I might have recognized similar such efforts. But then again I might not have.
