But none of that matters. When a strange dog approaches a person, especially a non-dog person, they don't know that your dog is super friendly and does great with people. They aren't going to make that assumption only to be proven wrong and get bit. Especially if their children are there.
If a strange dog approaches me I immediately get defensive. If a strange dog actually jumps on me I kick or punch it away. I don't like dogs that I know are friendly jumping all over me. So I'm definitely not taking chances with strange ones. That's why leash laws are important.
