I hated the puzzles. They were time consuming and pretty easy. Loved the rest of the game though.

Some of the later puzzles were pretty hard for me. There's an option to skip them though.

At this point I am just plain sick of the side activities. I'll still do the Towers and the side quests, but other than that, it all feels so tedious. Gonna try to finish the game by the end of the tomorrow.

I don't know what in sweet mercies you're talking about. The combat in this game fucking god and win! It's just that I usually get sick of doing side quests in a game after a while I want to just get on with things. I did the smart thing and finally did, and I'm very happy that I did.

Just beat the game. Dear god that ending!

End of the game spoilers:

Aunt May dies which is really sad, but she dies really happy because she led a good life, and is really proud of Peter. Pater respects Mary Jane's desire to put her life in danger to get the truth out, and help out epople, and that to me is ultimately why I think Mary Jane decides to come bavk to him, Miles reveals that he has spider powers just like Peter, to Peter, and he reveals that he has the same powers. Pretty damn cool!

If there's one thing I loved about this game more than anything is the whole teamwork aspect that the three character that you play with has. None of them feel worthless, and there's a reason that they all become partners, not sidekicks, even without superpowers. I'd love to see more games like this, and I'd love to read more comics like this.

This is by far the best paralell universe spider-man story I've ever experienced, and again, easily one of the best games I've ever played.

Thank you Insomniac games for making such an amazing work of art!

Yeah one thing I really liked about the ending was how a similar thing with Aunt May happened in the comics in the '90s, with Aunt May revealing that she had known Peter was Spider-Man for a while before having an emotional death.. But then it was later revealed that she wasn't the real Aunt May and the real one had been alive all along. So in a way this game was taking an older story and doing it RIGHT.

I also LOVED Peter's emotional denouncement of Otto and his actions.

As for the side-stuff, I liked pretty much all of it except maybe a couple of the research missions. They were really only repetitive for me if I was trying to do a bunch of the same things in a row, but there was such an assortment of different things to do and collect that I never had to worry about that.

Yeah, I've actually read that, You name a spider-man comic from like the mid 70's up until Maximum Carnage in 94 or so and chances are that I've read it. God it was fucked up! It was done much better here. Just hope that that they don't pull the same shit again with the sequel.

Yeah, really loved it when he said "Well then save yourself!" and "You do what you think is right. It's all that we can do."

The research missions for me were fine for the most part, (well, other than a couple of em, like the one that made me ragequit for the rest of the day.) and I did all of em, but like with almost every game, I got sick of doing side activities and just wanted to experience the story, so I had the choice of burning out of the game completely, or going through and beating the game. Thankfully I made the right choice.

One thing that surprised me btw was that I didn't get to fight Fisk a second time.

Yeah I did kind of expect Fisk to at least show up again once byvthe end of the game, but IIRC the last time you hear from him is during the Helicopter chase

So my question was what was the deal with Harry? The implication is he becomes the Green Goblin but there also seems to be something with the black symbiote?

I don't think he's going to be either. At least not yet. I think the green shit in the tank is going to lead to Norman becoming the (first) Goblin, and the symbiote is going to be similar to the cancer suit in the Ultimate comics. Harry will probably have it on him for a short time (without becoming Venom) before Peter gets it (and then it goes to Eddie by the end of the game).
