This. At work a lot of the break room talk involves what Trump's antics for the day are. Not a day goes by without him saying or doing something reprehensible and yet he still has the mindless devotion of a cult behind him praising anything he does.

this is an awful work environment tbh, especially for living in Canada.

People rarely talk about politics here.

It's even better when you work for the Canadian arm of an American company whose owner is buddy-buddy with Trump and is based deep in Trump country.

It's only happened since Trump came into office. He's like a cartoon villain and the continued disbelief that someone like that actually made it into office is palpable.

Yeah but even Bush was at an okay level at the start there (admittedly after 9/11) before cratering. Trump was just an immediate cratering.

This happens all the time at my work (im Canadian), one lady gets so upset talking about Trump that she almost starts crying and shaking. Not joking.

My stepdad does this at family reunions and it's annoying as fuck.

One of my cousin's lives in Colorado now and was trying to explain to him why Obamacare was terrible, but because Trump got rid of it stepdad won't hear it and just starts yelling. So embarrassing.

Said cousin is religous as fuck and her mom who still lives here supports Trump, much to stepdad's chagrin (His sister), so it checks out.

She went to bible college.

We voted in Trudeau so...eh

Imaging equating this

Are you Canadian? If so I don't see how you can claim we have a right to comment on anyone elses image.

Our PM is a joke

If you truly believe that Trudeau and Trump are on the same level in regards to harming their country on both a national and international level I have no idea what to say to you.

So far Trudeau has:

-Bungled the Canada post strike
-Talked about how glorious a literal dictator was
-Assaulted someone in the house of commons
-Groped a reporter despite claiming to be a feminist and expects to be absolved because he "doesn't remember"
-Made a fool of himself on numerous international visits
-Violated federal ethics laws by visiting Aga Khan's island
- Blown taxpayers money on redoing the PM residence and vacations, moreso than any other PM in history.
- Increased Canada's national debt

So, I don't think it's a stretch to compare him to Trump.

Also, a lot of those "facts" are incorrect about Trudeau.

He never once assaulted anyone in the House of Commons. He also never groped a reporter. Funny how when that incident happened like, 15 years ago, both her coworkers and her boss specifically asked her to report on the matter, to make it a public fact if she felt so strongly about what had happened. She told the boss it wasn't a big deal. Now he becomes PM and she makes a statement about it, and then refuses to ever comment on it again?

I have no doubts she felt offended when he brushed past her in a rush, but it wasn't a big enough issue to report on when it happened.

Not on the same level, but Trudeau is definitely not a good leader for Canada. He is racist (his dress in India...), he has been accused of sexual acts, has been found guilty of ethics laws (first PM in Canadian history, right?), has called people racist or bigoted if they do not agree with him, etc.

If the party would get rid of him, the Liberals would stand to gain a LOT of confidence from all Canadians.

He didn't assault her in the House... however he was a big baby about it. He was not getting his way and had to 'bully' his way through.

The reporter may or may not have been truthful, but Trudeau did admit to it, did he not? He even stated when questioned: "I'm sorry, if I had known you were reporting for a national paper, I never would have been so forward."

That was her account of the story, but again made no public mention of it at all until that point.

Trudeau's recollection of it is that he was kinda rushing his way through a crowd and inadvertently made contact with people. Nothing sordid or anything of that nature.

That quote was directly from the article (from 18 years ago)... Trudeau did say that talking to the 'victim.' That seems odd he would be quoted saying that 18 years ago if he just 'accidentally' made contact with people, right?
