IV sets down tropes for the rest of the franchise, and is overall a great game in terms of combat, characters, story, music, and settings. Get TAY too if you can, but don't play the 3D versions. V is fun and has better gameplay with it's job system, but I found it lacking for characters and story. When I got older, I finished the XIII series and FFXV on launch.
