1. Samsung QN49Q6F:

LG Electronics 55SK8000PUA: https://www.amazon.com/LG-Electronics-55SK8000PUA-55-Inch-Ultra/dp/B079TZLD4P - Narrowed my choices down to these three based on their: - low input lag (https://displaylag.com) - 120+hz refresh rates - ~$700 price tags (I'd normally be willing to invest a little more for a better TV, but this is more something to tide me over for a while than anything "permanent"). - Anyway, I'm actually leaning towards the first one at the moment because, while smaller than the other two, it's gonna have slightly better picture quality due to it being QLED (at least, that's how I think it works?). But is that the one I should go for? @KILBOTz --- live and let live ... Copied to Clipboard!

If you don't care about size and this isn't your end goal TV get #1. Personally I want the 65 of #2.

I haven't been up on TVs for a few years now, other than I know my next TV will be an OLED.
That being said, I would probably go with the LG. They seem to be offering the most bang for the buck recently. Nothing wrong with any of them though. Was there one that stood out to you? --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Even though its not on your list, I picked up the samsung 55 inch Q8FN the other week since that also had a nice price drop recently, and this TV is pretty damn gorgeous (the sunsets in red dead redemption 2 is like, whoa man, just whoa). The blacks is damn near just as good as LG's oleds. The Q6F, at least according to rtings, rates pretty damn good also, and apparently also has pretty good black levels. Also with the input lag, seems like these line of TVs were just made for gaming (along with the freesync mode for pc gaming if that is your thing).
I would go for the Q6F. --- GTag:XlX Zoro XlX PSN:lMadDogg NNID:xMadDoggx I bet my left nut on bloodstained ritual of the night being awesome...I like my left nut IGA, come through for me. ... Copied to Clipboard!

yeah, the qled stands out since, from what i've read, it provides a better picture than just regular led It all depends on the model you get for this. You are going to want the led tvs with FALD type lighting. The north american version of the Q8FN and all the Q9F models have FALD lighting, so does sony's X900F off the top of my head (also, how many zones a TV has for lighting matters a lot also). The Q6F still uses classic edge-lit lighting, so the black levels (one of the best things you want to go for, for some good looking HDR) isn't going to be as good as the higher tier stuff , but again, according to rtings its still pretty good, and the price is really nice. --- GTag:XlX Zoro XlX PSN:lMadDogg NNID:xMadDoggx I bet my left nut on bloodstained ritual of the night being awesome...I like my left nut IGA, come through for me. ...
