Alpharad is about the only one man show that I watch. I tune into GameExplain and watch/listen to a few fighting game channels, but it's more about them discussing meta/tech/fgc than it ever is them playing the games.

I'd rather just, you know, play the fucking game than watch someone play it. I only watch Alpharad cause I find him funny and not cringey like most "haha us epic YouTube gamers :^)"

I play most games, but some, Id rather watch. But I have also watch people play games I have beat to see what they did differently... Or older games, too.

AngryJoe, Jim Sterling, YongYea and ACG. These are not just limited to "lets plays" though and mostly just give reviews and thoughts about gaming related stuff. They do however stream now and then. I like them because I can relate to their opinions mostly though and thus value their opinions on things I don't know in most cases.

I do sometimes watch other things that the youtubers do. Though, I kind of like just watching a lot of gameplay the most.

Also, another question. I had it written down, but I forgot it. So, Ill ask to find another one until I can remember. But does anybody also know a YouTube channel that has great TTRPGs? Like them playing it?

YouTube is actually really bad for TTRPGs, but you can get the famous ones like Critical Role.
You can find Actual Play podcasts, and that's where the real mining is.

I like podcast. I listened to Terrible Warriors and I like them. I usually dont watch TTRPGs in youtube. But one channel I like did it once and it was fun to watch. They collabed a little with another channel I like. Haha. But Ill check out that one...

As far as guys who actually play games, TD basically two. Maybe three, but the last one is a stretch.

Maximilian Dood: Youd need to be into fighting games to enjoy his stuff, as that is his focus 95% of the time. Hes fairly well-known in the fighting game community as being a good guy. Puts up videos about news, online matches, and reaction videos.

The Completionist: Hes a guy who plays games to 100% completion. I feel like hes hit or miss, but I tend to really enjoy his videos detailing games that I like a lot.

Rabbidluigi: Just a guy who does top 10 or top 5 lists. I just like his stuff. He occasionally posts Lets Play videos.

Jerma985, though he's mainly a twitch streamer now, however he has a clips channel and the person who maintains it for him is good at editing and choosing the funniest clips. I watch him because I just think he's funny and he doesn't like the whole "youtuber persona" thing that most 'tubers do to seem like entertainers while being complete dimwits.

I don't see any rhyme or reason to his choice of games. His most recent streams were Hitman 2 and before that a complete playthrough of RDR2. He does modern and retro games on any system, but mainly PC games. He also does a lot of one-off streams like live action skits, PS1 light gun games on an old box TV, CYOA books, and Nintendo Labo.

The ones I watch are mainly because they're funny, and/or talk about interesting game-related concepts:
Dashie - Kinda hyper, but is really funny. He plays Mario Maker levels regularly, along with some other games
Alpharad - Shows a variety of games
Omni - Mostly Smash Bros related stuff
RelaxAlax - In depth reviews about previously released games and gaming concepts
Nikendo - Mostly Smash Bros gameplay, and a few other games
8-Bit Music Theory (more about gaming music than gameplay, but I'm putting it here anyway)

ROBO46 puts up a lot of motorcycle stuff, not strictly gaming but the majority is. Airforceproud95 is great, he mostly does funny Flight Simulator videos. upc831 isn't really gaming, but he uploads recordings of midi files being played through various processors and a lot of the recordings are from game music like After Burner, Outrun, and Space Harrier.

His podcast is a good way for me to catch up on videogame news/reviews without having to actually do effort.
Plus he actually thinks his way through things.

I've kinda recently lost interest in most gaming youtubers, I think mostly because I lost interest in videogames since I only watched them because I couldn't play the games for whatever reason.
Markiplier Is one I used to like.
Jacksepticeye is one I hated at first but watched anyway cuz markiplier didn't play one of the fnaf games I wanted to see. Then I guess he grew on me since I watched loads of his videos, but now I rarely click on any of them, same with markiplier.

Then I got into miniladd who's not really a gaming youtuber anymore but I still watch his videos sometimes.
Swaggersouls, fitz, and a few others were a group who played pubg and some shooters, their banter was really funny but I don't really watch them anymore.
Captainsparkles is the last one I've stopped watching, I'm just not into minecraft videos anymore and I don't care for fortnite or that other game he plays a lot.

Oh yea and I used to watch stampylongnose til he stopped playing with iballisticsquid.

Do game reviewers count? Cuz I still watch zeropunctuation..... sometimes, lol.

James Rolfe. Been watching him since early 2007, Mike 'longdong' Matei is pretty annoying though. And he doesn't understand how technology works.

[Edit] Dunkey is pretty cool too. But his seems more like a comedy channel that uses games as humor, so I don't know if he qualifies as a youtube gamer IMO.

Honestly, James is kind of annoying too, or at least his humor is. Not as annoying as Mike, I'll grant you that, though he's even more unknowledgeable about technology

OverTheGun.

He's been doing let's plays far longer than they even were called that. Hilarious dude and hilarious accent too. From northern England, crazy how it was a few years back. These days it's toned down more as his accent has changed a bit and he's currently not super active on uploads due to rl stuff. Old vids are good stuff though.

DevilDogGamer - I don't play on PC any more and he plays some of the games I'm interested in, plus his commentary/voice don't grate on my nerves.

CornShaq - He reviews a bunch of indie games. His scores seem genuine. He doesn't hand out 8s, 9s, or 10s willy-nilly. In fact I don't think I've ever seen him score a game 10/10.

FunWithGuru - He does video game Easter Egg videos, but his editing and production are really cool.

GameRanx - they do video game news and previews, plus some other interesting stuff. Again, their voices and personalities don't annoy me. I like stuff like Markiplier once in a while but sometimes the schtick is a bit much.

There's a few more, but those are the main ones.

Hell yeah. I dont remember when or where but I once saw someone complaining that a "best friend guide" sucked because they kept talking and didnt seem very good at the game. I died from laughter
