If there are intelligent aliens out there that have already conquered space travel, then they must be intelligent enough to know interfering with us would have disastrous consequences.
I think, if they do exist, they might wait until we perfect light speed travel. We gotta prove ourselves tbh --- The best posts, believe me. ... Copied to Clipboard!

I really don't know. Aliens freaked the hell out of me as a kid (I watched Sightings, X-Files, read that book Fire in the Sky about the alien abduction in Oregon which had freaky pictures in it, read other Young Adult fiction about aliens), and every time it just made me really anxious but I couldn't stop.
I had realistic nightmares about aliens from which I woke up completely calm (which was also nervewracking in its own way since I am very sensitive to dreams in general and if it were any other nightmare I would have woken up sweating or upset). I've maybe grown out of it but I still think it was really intense for my childhood :\ But ultimately... I think there are other forms of life out there for sure, but I don't know any more if I believe in "the grays" (even though they still freak me out a little if I see them... couldn't sleep for two days after watching The Fourth Kind). --- FFXIV: Herzog Erislieb (Cactaur) | ESO: @Ultima_Vyse RS3: UltimaSuende . 99 WC/99 FISH/99 Cook ... I saw a reddit post today about how young the universe is. Only 13 billion years and it will be around for quadrillions or something. Earth IIRC is 5 billion years? Im sure there is life out there but its reasonable that they havent had enough time to progress to the point where they can travel to our system. Who knows.

See the thing is that time is all relative. If life exists on other planets, why haven't we established contact with them or they with us yet? 1. Because the universe is too big 2. Even though there are probably many earth like planets out there, they are few in number relative to the size of the universe 3. I think people who don't believe they are out there don't truly understand the size of the Universe. Between just the Milky Way and Andromeda, there's an estimated 1.3 trillion stars. That's 2 galaxies out of hundreds of billions and possibly trillions of galaxies.
However, contact is probably impossible due to the limits of c. --- "Scranton is great, but New York is like Scranton on acid. No, on speed. Nah. On steroids." FC: 3282-3258-0224 ... Copied to Clipboard!
