I think I first found PotD through the link on the poll and started posting because I assumed all we talked about was the poll. This was around 2004.

Started gamefaqs in 2001 i think. However i was mainly a game social board user and CEman back then. but since i kept getting banned every not and again i could view potd with a level 4 read only act so i lurked and wedged myself in around 2013 i wanna say? Idk

Which is why i laugh when new users who made an account last week are asked whos alt they are. It is possible to slot right in with a new act and not cause suspicion. I did it.

Because I'm awful and don't know how to stop pissing away time. Sometimes I like to piss away time doing stuff like playing video games, but I always feel like I need to sit down and commit to a proper "session" with that. I can just come and go on gfaqs as I please, and do other things on my computer simultaneously

Hmmm... I probably started coming to Gamefaqs itself around 2000/2001, I think. Mostly for guides or whatever. I use to avoid boards. Mainly because people seemed mean and I was a child back then. I did, however, visit the PotD many times. But it seemed pretty bad since everyone seemed to be arguing all the time. The last time I randomly came to this board was November last year. And after joining a few topics, I stuck around...

2002. I started using the site for Morrowind. Eventually found this board through a link on the poll. Came here for about ten years. Stopped for like five. Now I'm back. I think nostalgia and boredom with reddit brought me back.

Started posting on PotD in late 2005 (around August I believe). Before that I was a Board 8er, and before that I mostly only posted on game forums for whatever I was playing at the time. It was very sporadic (hence why my Karma is relatively low compared to my account start date.

I started posting more because it was an easy thing to do at work while I was waiting for stuff to compile or tests to run.

Uh late 2009. I don't remember what happened to my original account. I forgot the password to my email or something stupid like that. I go through phases but if I have issues with a particular poster sometimes I just won't post in that place. I don't handle confrontation well. I used to post in CE a little bit too, but I've really only been active the last 2 years or so. Other than that I post in whatever board for the games I'm playing or just finished, so I can swap answers & try to help.
I've tried reddit but it's way too elitist for me.

Several years ago and I stuck around because it's a good place to dwell while other parts of GameFAQs are slow. Plus it's small enough for me to keep track of users.

I left the pokemon boards because I was modded for asking what people's favorite pokemon was. (off topic, "not relevant specifically to Pokemon X")

I was also annoyed with all the certain posters making topics about pokemon girls' feet every day, just most topics being troll topics.

I stayed here because there weren't any off topic rules and I just wanted to shoot the shit.

I think I started coming here around 2010.
And I stuck around because I like the people here and I generally just like this board.

PotD is a small community and I like it small because like in real life, I'm not particularly fond of crowded places.

Few years ago. And like with this sites boards in general, lurked at first until someone said/asked something and couldn't resist responding and after that actually started talking. Been on this site since the late 90s and don't plan on leaving and this is really the only board I permanently frequent. Others are just whatever I'm playing at the moment along with a few I got tracked in case someone comes along wanting help in the game.
