The 4 beat fighting games ever are Smash...

In addition to that, some of those are just friggin awful games.

It looks like you got a list of the 500 best fighting games, skimmed off the top 100 because we can't have actual good games on the list, and then randomly chose and ordered 50 from the remaining 400.

Okay the fact that this is an ordered list of specifically 50 games that they have happened to play explains a lot, if I'm understanding that correctly

because I was like, wow, this list is REALLY hipster, like I'm not denying that there are great obscure fighting games or that the most popular ones can be overrated but I mean...

Sounds like the scientists need to tinker with more games

I mean I guess more of the good ones are towards the top, generally, but yeah I don't get it. Really does look a random ordering more than anything.

Oh I get it because it's science this ordering is based on like quantum mechanics. Like these 50 games may or may not be precisely ordered because that's impossible but they're in roughly a correct spot to within like 15-20 positions or so

i mean there's some order to them deciding to play certain games, but it's mostly to set up a tame joke. like "hey we know we haven't gotten around to the great fighting game franchises like Street Fighter or Tekken, so here's what we got in store this week... Street Fighter x Tekken."
