The Jews went back to their ancestral homeland after the persecution began in Europe before and during the Holocaust. Surprise surprise, the Arab states did not welcome this and pushed back against this. They also pushed back against the United Nations' compromise. So there was a war in which Israel won decidedly. The Palestinians, The Arab states of Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, and Syria all went to war and got crushed.

They won the two wars, simple as that. The Arab states didn't want to accept the compromise by the UN and they went to war over it, even though the Jews were fleeing persecution and fleeing back to their ancestral homeland in the hope of finding refuge.

Is it Israel's fault that they defended themselves and ended up winning the fights and thus having claim to the land beyond the UN's initial compromise? No.

there are a bunch of middle eastern countries that need to be fixed too. but that's a separate issue. I'm just talking about Israel/Palestine right now. and the Palestinians are the natives who deserve that land. they need to reform the government and have equal representation of muslims and jews. I would say dissolve the borders and make 2 prime ministers or presidents or whatever they have, one for each side and they both rule together, neither one more powerful than the other
