Also, I got pretty good at getting all the Canada goals in one run with certain characters.

I've always thought Morrowind had the most ridiculous speedruns. This huge open world game that was years ahead of it's time and it can be beaten in a few minutes.

The world record speedrun for Mega Man X5 includes a minute or two of the player repeatedly killing himself.

It's because there's a teeny tiny chance that right at the start you can skip about 2/3 of the game, if you immediately choose to fire the unupgraded Enigma. The player got lucky and then picked a level to go game over on so he could save the game. It's the only time I've ever heard of it happening.
